چکیده

Industries have been a major culprit in increasing carbonaceous emissions and contributors to global warming over the past decades. Factories urban periphery tend warm cities more as compared with rural surroundings. Recently, nature-based solutions promoted provide related climate adaptations mitigation issues challenges. Among these solutions, trees proven be an effective solution remove air pollutants mitigate pollution specifically caused by carbon emissions. This work was designed assess role of tree species mitigating around vicinity various industrial sites. For this purpose, three different sites (weaving, brick kiln, cosmetic) were selected collect data. Selected divided into two areas, i.e., (a) area inside industry (b) outside industry. The samples collected from 100 square meters industries industries. Five comprised four replications for sampling. About twenty measured, making it 120 all estimating aboveground belowground biomass, showing their estimation. results showed that Moringa oleifera depicted overall higher total biomass both (2.58, 0.56, 4.57 Mg ha?1) In terms stock sequestration sites, Syzygium cumini had most dominant values weaving (2.82 10.32 kiln (3.78 13.5 ha?1), while cosmetic Eucalyptus camaldulensis carbon, stock, (7.83 28.70 ha?1). comparison, industries’ lower values. came out Dalbergia sisso (0.97 3.54 having sequestration. oliefra (1.26 4.63) industry, Vachellia nilotica (2.51 9.19 displayed maximum other species. findings regarding storage indicate amount soil decreased increase depth; at 0–20 cm depth study concludes forest present strong potential

Prioritising Carbon Sequestration Areas in Southern Queensland Using Time Series Modis Net Primary Productivity (npp) Imagery

The aim of this study was to develop a method that will use satellite imagery to identify areas of high forest growth and productivity, as a primary input in prioritising revegetation sites for carbon sequestration. Using the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) satellite data, this study analysed the annual net primary production (NPP) values (gC/m) of images acquired from 200...
